Judicial Review

Kanlungan’s Judicial Review

A judicial review is a type of court proceeding in the UK judicial system in which a judge reviews the lawfulness of a decision or action made by a public body. If Kanlungan’s legal challenge is successful, this will enable thousands of senior care workers who have gaps of six months to one year in their visas and have continued working as carers to apply for indefinite leave to remain. Effectively, this will be a class suit on behalf of all senior care workers adversely affected by immigration rule changes and the Home Office will not have the option of giving individual concessions on a case by case basis.

To be successful, Kanlungan also needs more senior care workers who have been adversely affected by the changes in immigration rules to come forward and provide evidence. The more senior carers involved in this legal action, the better the chance for success.
