i came here with a 5 year work permit and 5 year work visa. My visa was issued on the 24th of Nov.2005 and i arrived in the U.k on 12th Dec.2005. To sum the years i've been here i have 18 days gap to qualify for indefinte leave to remain which is due this coming nov. Do you think that gap would affect my application for indefinite leave? please advice me the best thing i could do. Thanks and more power!!

I am due to apply for my permanent residency on July 2010, and sad to say that I will be affected with this "gap" issue. Is there anything i can do in advance to make the process easier, because i do not want to work on it on the last minute.
